princes and territories

Let me quickly share with you the twin ideas of territories and princes.

A territory describes an area or specified region. It may also mean a perimeter of activity or influence. Hence, Nigeria and China are territories controlled by their different governments. Territories are not necessarily lands or geographical space. Economic and social spaces are significant territories. In this vein, we could conceive of strong organizations, companies and cultural persuasions as delimited areas.

Over these areas are princes who exercise control or influence over these territories. They have an overriding will over those places or principles they direct. Its not difficult to think of Bill Gates as a prince in the technology arena or Osama bn Ladin over islamist leanings. Other examples would be Jim Ovia as lord of the Zenith empire and R. Kelly as a musical prince. A prince's sphere may not be that wide, a supervisor or team leader qualifies as a prince in this regard (I think of Samuel as the Daniels prince presently).

It comes into view then when scriptures talks of the prince of Greece or the prince of your people. These people (or influences) have charge over their territtories. Nothing moves and thrives in those regions without their say-so. They are in operation both in the physical and spiritual planes. As a matter of fact, the people are mere embodiments of the higher spiritual principles (or princes).

In sharing this, I believe the knowledge of the operation of this dynamics will add to our understanding of how systems work.

real worth

The size of the person

Physical stature matters but not in any deep way.
What is important is your internal size
The weight of your person
This is what great men measure
Always judging, continually evaluating
They take decisions based on who you are
And based less on what you do

What you measure shows in your voice
It shows in the shape of your face
Revealed in disposition and gestures
Your taste in clothes, choice of words
Leave bits of insight into you
And tells the world your real worth
